Challenge

A financial-sector IT provider running business-critical banking platforms needed assurance that its business continuity plans and IT disaster-recovery plans would hold under real conditions — within an operational-resilience regime shaped by DORA and ISO 27001, and under close regulatory and client scrutiny.

Role

Senior consulting engagement reviewing and testing continuity and disaster-recovery arrangements for business-critical services, working to ISO 22301 and facilitating exercises with stakeholders across the organisation.

Approach

Business continuity and IT disaster-recovery plans for critical banking services were systematically reviewed and pressure-tested through live tabletop exercises with the teams that would execute them — surfacing gaps between documented procedure and operational reality, and feeding findings into structured follow-up and stakeholder reporting.

Outcome

Tested, credible continuity and recovery arrangements for business-critical services; documented findings and remediation follow-up supporting audit and regulatory evidence; and stronger shared understanding across teams of how recovery actually runs.
