Financial Services Technology & Regulatory Advisory
Challenge
Scandinavian financial-services institutions faced converging pressures: cloud adoption under strict outsourcing regulation, rising cybersecurity expectations, growing third-party dependencies and the first wave of enterprise AI adoption — all under active supervisory attention.
Role
Senior advisory across multiple engagements in banking, insurance and asset management: leading cloud, cognitive services (AI/ML) and third-party risk management work for financial-services clients within a global professional-services firm.
Approach
Engagements included regulatory pre-analysis under the EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing for a large Scandinavian bank operating across seven countries — including direct engagement with the Danish FSA and European regulatory counterparts; secure-DevOps maturity assessment and improvement for a major bank across five countries, with revised SOPs and security-governance frameworks; technology due diligence for a global asset manager covering supplier viability, code, infrastructure and ownership; and third-party risk management support for a major Nordic bank.
Outcome
Regulatory findings translated into actionable remediation plans, improved security-governance maturity, decision-ready due-diligence reporting to executive management, and pragmatic paths to cloud and AI adoption within regulatory constraints.
